While taking to the ice for morning skate, Miller grabbed goaltender Arturs Silovs' pink patterned dress shirt instead of a jersey.
Vancouver had the opportunity to close out the Nashville Predators in game 5 of their series at home, but blew a late 1 goal lead to force another trip to Nashville. The Canucks publicly admitted that they wanted to finish the series in five games, with Miller himself lamenting the 8.5 hours of flying' if Nashville won the game.
Now, Nashville will have home ice advantage once again and an opportunity to force game 7. Without Thatcher Demko and even backup Casey DeSmith coming off injury, the threat of this series even going to 7 games should scare the Canucks. It's always seen as sort of bad karma to complain about the travel between teams in sports, so hopefully Miller's comment doesn't come back to bite the Canucks.
For purely entertaining purposes, a series between the Canucks and Oilers in the second round would be absolutely electric. The rivalry from players extends to the fans, and always creates a hockey-crazed environment in each city. To keep an eye on their next playoff opponent, the Oilers will sure be keeping close tabs on the rest of this Vancouver and Nashville series.
