During the latest episode of the Oilernation's Everyday Podcast, host Tyler Yaremchuk made a bold prediction that Toronto Maple Leafs winger Mitch Marner will not finish the Four Nations faceoff with Connor McDavid.

Yaremchuk explains that he thinks Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand will likely be the player who will finish on the top line with McDavid as his style of play would be better suited for McDavid rather than Marner or Sam Reinhart.

Marner and Marchand likely to battle for spot

There's a strong possibility that Marner will likely battle for this spot over Marchand as both players have extensive history playing against one another has the Maple Leafs and the Bruins have clashed several times in the playoffs.

Canada head coach Jon Cooper has an abundance of riches with players like Marner as Canada is one of the favourites to winning the entire tournament. It was reported that Canada has the most offence in terms of total goals scored and assists as the team is built for pure offense.

McDavid excited to play in 4 Nations

This tournament even though it's sponsored by the NHL, will be one of the first tournaments for McDavid outside of the Oilers and the All Star game and preview of the 2026 Team Canada Olympic team could look like.

"It's a great opportunity for our team to come together & make our country proud."

-Connor McDavid

McDavid spoke to reporters and gave a great review of this tournament and what it will do for the players and for the country as they come together to show off the talent.

The tournament is set to begin tomorrow on February 12th and will stretch to February 20th.
