The entire hockey world has been rocked by the tragic loss of Johnny Gaudreau and Matthew Gaudreau, and now plenty of NHL players are coming together to take action to help the family.

News broke this morning that Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau were fatally struck by a drunk driver. Matthew Gaudreau will be leaving behind his wife, Madeline, and his unborn son that the couple had named Tripp. GoFundMe has been set up to support Madeline and the baby through this unthinkably sad time.

Several NHL players have listed donations, including Cayden Primeau, Colin White, Adam Boqvist, Dylan Cozens, and many more anonymous ones. It's great to see the outpouring of support to the family.

The Edmonton Oilers know Johnny Gaudreau extremely well from his time with the Calgary Flames, and a number of Oilers players have offered their sympathy and expressed shock over the loss. The Edmonton Oilers made an official statement on social media remembering his legacy and offering their condolences to their family. Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl, and many more players have posted on their Instagram pictures remembering Johnny and Matthew. Derek Ryan, a former teammate of Gaudreau's in Calgary, was clearly shaken by the loss and remembered his impact of inspiring so many other small, skilled forwards.

Today is truly a shocking day for hockey. All fans will be thinking of the Gaudreau family through this incredibly difficult time.
