The report shows left winger Nils Hoglander and right winger Daniel Sprong are ranked number one and two on this list. Hoglander Has one year remaining on his deal which is valued at $1.1 million.
He has shown his head coach Rick Rocchet that he should be on the top line with JT Miller and Brock Boeser has he had 24 goals last year and will likely say a huge uptick in his ice time. With such a low cost and the likelihood of breaking through the 25-goal barrier, Hoglander certainly will be a great bang for their buck.
Former Detroit Red Wing and Seattle Kraken Daniel Sprong could be one of the better players for the value in the NHL as he had signed a contract that was one year worth $975,000. The 28 year old right winger had played 76 game, scoring 18 goals and 25 assists for 43 points with 22 penalty minutes for the Detroit Red Wings last season. It was surprising that he remained an unrestricted free agent as long as he had as many felt that he had much to offer.
It's clear that the Canucks and the Oilers have been in an arms race over the past couple of months as both teams have continued to stockpile free agents and make several changes to their lineups as it's expected both teams will meet each other in the playoffs yet again.
Both general managers Patrik Allvin and the combination of Jeff Jackson and Stan Bowman certainly are not afraid to make deals and improve their team. Both teams are going to be fun to watch this year.
