Earlier this evening, Sidney Crosby has done it again and now stands beside Wayne Gretzky having tied his record of 19 point per seasons, the most in league history.

During this game, whether it's playing the Rangers or something to prove, Crosby had an amazing night as he had two goals and one assists for three points and was a + 3 with 19 minutes and 39 seconds of ice time. Even with the Rangers putting 10 more shots on goal and out hitting the Penguins, the Penguins stood tall and won the game 5-2.
However, the loyalty he has given the Penguins Overpowered the want to leave and it's likely that he will sign his final contract with the Penguins as he would be able to negotiate an extension this summer.
In the mean time, the Penguins will need to evaluate their team throughout this summer and general manager Kyle Dubas will need to make changes to bring the competitiveness back two Pittsburgh.
In Oilers news, the watch is on for Connor McDavid to become one of the fastest players to reach the 1000 career point milestone. He's now got 11 games to score 24 points, and it's absurd how that's even possible for him. Perhaps down the line, McDavid comes to threaten to pass both Gretzky and Crosby with this same record.
