BREAKING: Tyler Toffoli Traded To Canadian team
Moments ago, Chris Johnston of TSN reported that the New Jersey Devils will be trading Tyler Toffoli to the Winnipeg Jets. The return will be multiple draft picks.
Now 31 years old, Tyler Toffoli has become one of the league's more underrated consistent offensive players. In 61 games this season, Toffoli's scored 26 goals and 44 points and shown he can produce anywhere in the lineup. He's in the final year of his contract that will pay him $4.25M.
Toffoli will add a lot to a Winnipeg Jets team that's had a surprisingly good season after locking up some core players this offseason. Clearly the Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff is trying to capitalize on this momentum and add to the team to give them a significant push in the playoffs.
