Cale Makar caught on live mic showing he's a big fan of Oilers player
During this year's All Star Skills competition for hardest shot, a live mic caught an incredible moment of Cale Makar showing off that he keeps up with the Oilers and the fans.
After taking his slap shot and taking a seat next to Connor McDavid, Makar can be heard saying, «That was a Bouch Bomb right there!»
It's a great example of one of the best in the league recognizing another one of the top talents in the game, despite not being at the all-star game. Evan Bouchard has clearly been making waves across the NHL for his superb play this year, and now we know he's got a reputation for his thunderous slap shots, nicknamed Bouch Bombs.
Growing up in Calgary, Makar was actually a fan of the Flames as a kid, and definitely was paying attention to the hard fought battles of Alberta in the last ten years. Even now, it seems Makar is keeping up with the rivalry and the emerging players across the league.
