Oilers fans are concerned about Connor McDavid requesting a trade from the Oilers
Fans are upset with the direction of the Edmonton Oilers, since the team is 2-7-1 and needs to turn things around to make the playoffs.
In two years, when McDavid becomes an unrestricted free agent, the fans believe he may try and find greener pastures.
mcdavid: "it's just death by 1000 cuts. that's what it feels like. one mistake and it cost us, another little mistake, and it kind of just snowballs."
In today's 5-2 loss to the Nashville Predators, McDavid expressed his frustrations.
His frustration could also be seen on-ice after a failed Darnell Nurse shot to the crest, when the Predators' defensive zone coverage was weakened.
McDavid was not happy with that patented Nurse wrist shot to the crest after the Predators were exhausted in their own zone.

It can be argued that Ken Holland and the Edmonton Oilers wasted his prime years by tanking, but not voluntarily.
I'm glad we wasted McDavid's prime years waiting for Ken Holland to personally be ready to think about trying to win just for this.
