St. Louis Blues forward Dylan Holloway endured a horrifying scene last night after taking a puck to the neck, but today has brought great news.

Holloway has quickly made an apparent full recovery, and expects to be back in the lineup tomorrow night against the Utah Hockey Club. Holloway detailed the harrowing experience of blacking out on bench and being rushed to the hospital too.

Holloway explained that the puck struck a nerve in his neck, and he immediately knew there was a problem. By the time he got to the bench, he began feeling lightheaded before collapsing. Hilariously though, he had to finish the 2 on 1 break before heading to bench.

It was truly gut-wrenching to see Holloway suffer such a brutal injury as it happened. Holloway went to the point to block a routine shot but took the puck directly in his neck area. He was able to stay up on his feet and make his way to the bench, but his body was basically on autopilot in that moment before shutting down on the bench. Holloway was then transported by ambulance to a St. Louis Hospital for further testing.

Oilers fans obviously know Dylan Holloway well as a former first round draft pick and top prospect of the team. Holloway broke through the NHL roster last year and earned an offer sheet contract with the St. Louis Blues. With more ice time on his new team, Holloway's making even more of an impact with 4 goals and 6 points in 12 games.

For a young promising player and great person off the ice, it was heartbreaking to see this injury. It's incredibly fortunate that Holloway if fully okay, and will be back on the ice tomorrow night.
