Bolden made her statement towards Bowman that he had «taken time off, three years in fact» and asked how he looks at the job as general manager and what he will do differently. Bowman gave a very canned answer that has been heard several times since he has been hired by the Oilers That he looked at himself and grew some in his character and figured out how he would do things differently.
Within seconds after this post was brought to X, fans lashed out immediately some in disbelief, and others in complete disgust as the time away she was referring to be his banning from the NHL after the Kyle Beach incident.
The original incident was reported on May 7th, 2021, and after some investigation, on October 26, 2021, it was announced by the Blackhawks organization that then GM Stan Bowman and vice president of hockey operations Al MacIsaac had resigned from the organization.
It's quite likely that this line of questioning and statement by reviewed by Amazon Prime as the network is still in its infancy as a broadcaster of sports and with the NHL. Their producers along with other members of the organization will need to be much more attentive and choose their words carefully especially with such a vile incident that still has repercussions across the league.
The Oilers will be at home on November 6th to take on the Vegas Golden Knights in hope to get back to their winning ways after losing to the Devils 3-0. Game time will be at 8:30 PM eastern.
