Evander Kane shows his true colours with amazing gesture to Edmonton
Even in the heart of a playoff run, Evander Kane is finding time to make a difference in the city of Edmonton off the ice.
Evander Kane is someone who always gets a bad reputation for a lot of things that haven't been proven. He's always been labeled as a locker room cancer and fans of the teams he's been on before have looked to scapegoat him for their team's lack of success.
Kane is a great guy however and seems the happiest on Edmonton that he's ever been. The guys in the locker room love him, the fans love him and he makes sure to give back to both. He was spotted at an Edmonton food bank, dropping off donations that he had bought for the community.
This is such a great gesture, as even during playoffs he still finds the time to give back to the community that has been so accepting of him. Kane has always been aware of his role in the media as a villain and tries to poke fun at it at times.
He's someone who does stuff to try to give back to the community, but doesn't care to publicize it since he already has his role in the media as a bad guy. It's nice to see him continue to give back to the people who have embraced him so much.
