The Philadelphia Flyers and the Edmonton Oilers have been in trade talks a lot this season, mostly centered around Sean Walker. As these talks have progressed it sounds like the Flyers are asking for a first round draft pick back from the Oilers, which has been received with mixed feelings from fans. According to David Pagnotta, there's a good chance that the Flyers are also willing to take back an unfavourable contract in the offer.

If the Flyers offered this type of deal, this would be a no brainer from the Oilers. As it looks now, the Oilers may need to give a team a first round draft pick just to take on Jack Campbell's contract, and if the Flyers are really trying to take a first to move Sean Walker is it a perfect match?

According to multiple insiders on Twitter, Flyers scouts have been spotted at several Oilers games recently, indicating a trade is in the works.

This could really benefit the Oilers as well because if they move Campbell, it could open up cap to go for other players at the deadline. Their pick could potentially be pick 32 this year, which is definitely an asset that you don't mind moving on from if it wins you the cup.

Even if the Flyers want the Oilers to retain cap on his contract, it still may be something that you want to just put behind you. They'd still have more money now, when they desperately need it. Even if they want a prospect added on it may be something to consider. Adding Jack Campbell into this deal makes both sides have so much flexibility and could be something Ken Holland should definitely consider.
