Legendary Oilers reporter Bob Stauffer parties with fans in bar after Game 6 win
Last night was total bedlam in the city of Edmonton as they celebrated a massive Game 6 win, and even the media was joining in on the party.
In a few videos circulating online, the legendary Bob Stauffer was out with fans celebrating the win, and leading Let's Go Oilers chants in a bar.
Seeing the connection between the fans and the media coming together to celebrate this amazing period in Oilers history was a sight to behold. All across Edmonton fans were out in droves late into the night, driving zambonis, riding plastic bulls, and everything in between. When signing off the radio broadcast for Game 6, Stauffer actually told fans to let er rip' and enjoy the night.
Recently, Stauffer was pictured at the airport in an iconic way, and he joined a podcast later to speak about the viral reaction to the photo.
The photographer did a great job because it's add to get all three chins going at the same time. . . You just gotta roll with it. . . A couple of players came up and they had some fun with it.
Stauffer has been calling Oilers games on Radio since 2008, and has been through the decade of darkness with fans. As an Edmonton kid himself, it's awesome to see Stauffer enjoy the win as much as anyone else. Hopefully in Game 7 the Oilers can finish the job, and there will be an eruption I Edmonton.
