The Oilers are continuing to prepare for their game one of the Western Conference finals against the Dallas Stars and it appears that head coach Kris Knoblauch has lost faith in Ryan Mcleod after a poor play.

"And I look at the fact that the coach didn't play him another shift. That to me shows you it wasn't just a one off."

During an episode of the Jason Gregor show, Gregor spoke about a play where Ryan McLeod had a soft play in his own end that led to Canucks forward Conor Garland to score and put the Vancouver Canucks within one during Game 7. Gregor pointed out that McLeod never played another minute of that after that miscue.

McLeod has not registered a single point during this entire playoff as he has played twelve games. He has been giving the Oilers good minutes in terms of defensive play; however, Knoblauch expects him to help produce more secondary scoring.

He had his best point total in his career this year so far as through 81 games he scored twelve goals, with 18 assists for 30 points.

Coach Knoblauch has some options available if he feels that McLeod needs to be pulled from the lineup. But Oilers fans will find out soon enough as game one is set to begin tomorrow May 23rd and puck drop will be at 8:30 PM eastern.
