One player on the roster who seems to always be shuffled around his Oilers forward Evander Kane. This season has not been what he and management have hoped as he continues to struggle defined his rhythm and dominance when he first arrived in Edmonton.
Head coach Kris Knoblauch has been juggling his lines as of late as he looks for consistency especially in secondary scoring. Promoting Corey Perry to the second line has raised a few eyebrows as he continues to settle with the team and find his place on the roster.
He has played eleven games, with three goals and two assists for five points and 23 penalty minutes with an average ice time of 12: 55. That's certainly a big ask for the 38-year-old winger as he has been in the bottom 6 for the last few years with the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Chicago Blackhawks.
As for Kane, he is in a familiar position of being pushed down to the third line to try to ignite some secondary scoring but that has not been as successful this year.
The LA kings will be back in Edmonton to renew their rivalry against the Oilers on February 26th. Game time will be 9:30 PM eastern.
