Oilers fans fight in outdoor watch party yet again
So far this year, the Edmonton Oilers have played two playoff home games, and had fans break out in a fight during the outdoor watch party both times.
In this video, a group of younger fans were recorded in an escalating argument, antagonizing each other until someone snapped and punched began to fly.
The fight became mostly contained to two young fans, one in the Hyman jersey and the other in a brown hoodie. Thankfully no one else joined in, and again a few other fans came in to try to break up the fight.
During game one, another similar fight broke out in the outdoor party called the Moss Pit. It became somewhat of a problem last year, but fan fights have been occurring in Edmonton all year long. In reality, fans going to the game just need to be there to enjoy the game - not trying to cause trouble. Most fans are just passionate about the Oilers trying to see the game, and these fights bring down the experience for everyone.
As the Oilers took a tough 5-4 loss on home ice, some fans were definitely agitated and annoyed leaving Rogers Place. The series will head back to Los Angeles tied at 1-1 tomorrow night.
