Filip Hronek had a terrific start to the year, giving the Canucks a huge boost to their amazing start to the year. Despite this hot start he did drop off during the year, and was especially absent offensively during the playoffs. When asked about his lack of production in an interview, he had a hilarious interaction with an interviewer that will remind Oilers fans of another classic interview.
I feel bad for Hronek, as he still played extremely well defensively but just gets called out on his lack of offensive game through the playoffs. It must be incredibly frustrating as a player to have your game be put on blast, especially right after a tough playoff loss and when you're still playing well.
It's funny to see the similarities between this interview with Hronek and the classic interview with Draisaitl, as referenced in the tweet. In both tweets the players were just responding to the reporter's questions, but when the reporter doesn't get the answer they like they get upset.
These reporters are taking things way too personally and never put themselves in the player's shoes. Both interactions were just when a reporter got mad that the player gave them an answer they didn't like. These players shouldn't have to sit here and be berated by these reporters, and reporters need to realize that not everything is about them.
