It's no understatement to say that Draisaitl is one of the best playoff performers of all time. He manages to still be underrated despite how amazing he proves that he is time and time again.
We've seen how productive he can be despite injuries, such as last year with his brutal ankle injury. He's been amazing this year, although a picture of him in a finger brace surfacing does worry fans about potential injuries.
This is not good news, as you can only perform at his level while injured for so long. The last 2 rounds are where the Oilers need him the most and any drop off in production could spell disaster for the Oilers.
The Oilers currently have the health advantage over the Stars, but that's why may change depending on how bad this could be. The Oilers are already without Henrique and have to watch the Stars get healthier with the return of star center Roope Hintz. Draisaitl will play no matter what the injury is, but any injury to a superstar is enough to worry fans.
Hopefully it's just precautionary and Draisaitl is healthy, as it's hard to imagine how much more productive he could be at 100% health. Playoff Draisaitl is a German machine that doesn't ever shut down and fans can find solace knowing that no matter what it is he's dealing with, he'll continue to play and give it 110% on the ice.
