Oilers Leon Draisaitl shows support for Toronto in press conference
In a media availability yesterday, Leon Draisaitl brough something to a press conference to show support for a Toronto team, and really Canada's team. As the Blue Jays play their first Spring Training today, Draisaitl donned a Jays hat.
When asked about the hat, Draisaitl really casually mentioned being a Blue Jays Fan who only really watches the playoffs. A reporter asked a joking type question about the feasibility of playing a 162 game season in the NHL like they do in baseball, to which Draisaitl laughed and dismissed entirely, saying «I don't think anyone could» imagine it.
It's awesome to see a bit into Draisaitl's personality, and to see he keeps up with the country's summer team. The Blue Jays will play their first Spring Training game against the Phillies today after a largely disappointing season last year, and a more disappointing offseason.
