Oilers player ends longest scoring drought in the league
Oilers Cody Ceci was on the longest active skid in the NHL, being scoreless for a whopping 126 games. There are only two oilers before tonight that have played 10 plus games and are scoreless, Connor Brown and Cody Ceci.
With a shot from the point and a deflection off of Seiders skate, Cody Ceci ends his scoring drought!
Ceci is currently at 1G 1A in this game and is looking for more. The goal was assisted by Nurse and McDavid (no surprise).
Despite the goal drought, we Oilers fans appreciate his defensive efforts and hard work since he signed with us. Ceci now has a stat line of 1G, 13A, and +11 this season. We hope that Connor Brown can soon pick up his slack and get everyone on the team a goal.
