According to a recent report from the 2 Mutts Hockey Podcast, the Anaheim Ducks and Los Angeles Kings would be suitors for Evander Kane in a trade.
Kane's future with the Oilers is currently complicated by injury and ice time concerns. Kane was dealing with a Hernia injury much of last season that affected his play enough that he was scratched in the Cup Final, and is causing questions about his status for next season. Also, the Oilers signed two other top-six forwards in Jeff Skinner and Victor Arvidsson, who will be taking opportunity away from Kane. Last season, he expressed some concerns about his declining ice time, but wanted to be a good teammate about it.
The 2 Mutts Podcast said that Kane does not plan on heading to LTIR or waiving his no-movement clause next season. However, that could change if Kane sees little opportunity next year, and wants to prove himself to earn another contract in the NHL.
Kane currently has two years left on his contract that pays him $5.125M each season. This year he holds the no-move clause, but next year it becomes a limited no-trade list. Last season, Kane scored 24 goals in 77 games - not bad totals, but he was very inconsistent.
Another factor that will force a move from the Edmonton Oilers is simply the salary cap. The team still needs to sign Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway and have no cap space to do so - so whichever method it comes by, the Oilers will need to make a move to shed multiple millions off the books soon. We'll see for sure in just a few weeks what their plan will be.
