Flyers defenseman Nick Seeler is known for two things, his toughness and his temper. Throughout his time with the Flyers and other NHL organizations , he's been never afraid to drop the gloves and defend his teammates while expressing his anger towards the referees or other players on the ice.

Tonight, Seeler and the Flyers were losing 5-1 to the Detroit Red Wings when in the 2nd period things were quite heated.

The play began when Travis Sanheim threw Moritz Seider into the boards where he laid crumpled on the ice. Fischer took exception to that and hooked Seeler to the ice to which Seeler fought back. This led to both men dropping their gloves and throwing several good punches on one another.

As both players waited for the verdict, Fischer only received a two minute for hooking where Seeler received 2 minutes for instigating, 5 minutes for fighting and a 10 misconduct. Seeler went into a tirade in the box and dropped several F bombs another terrible language. He continued to go ballistic and was escorted off the ice by the linesman to keep him away from the referees.

Seeler certainly has been getting attention this year as he is an unrestricted free agent and could be available for trade at the trade deadline or sooner. Players like him who have a $775,000 salary would be very appealing to teams looking to upgrade their defence for a playoff push.

This kind of player would certainly help the Edmonton Oilers as they are looking to improve their defence and would give them a defenseman who has fire in his belly.
