16 Year Old Hockey Player Tragically Passes Away After Enduring Multiple Strokes
Cormick Scanlan, 16, passed suddenly yesterday, imposing yet another tragedy on the hockey community. Scanlan's team, the STP Capitals, released the following statement:
Our hockey community has lost a great young man. After suffering a series of strokes, Cormick Scanlan passed away peacefully last night surrounded by family. Our strength is with the Scanlans and all who loved Cormick. Rest in peace.
On December 6, Scanlans experienced his first stroke, and he has been in the hospital ever since. Despite a successful procedure, his health continued to decline until his untimely death.
