Not often do fans go to a hockey game and complain when a fight breaks out.
Other than if it's minor hockey of course.
And when one of the smaller, all-heart players drops the gloves to try and breathe some life into their team, it really 'fires up the squad'.
Oasiz Wiesblatt did just that during a Western Hockey League matchup between the Medicine Hat Tigers and Winnipeg Ice.
The 5'9» Wiesblatt dropped the gloves versus 6'4» Ashton Cumby with just mere seconds remaining in an 8-3 Ice drubbing of the Tigers.
While the scrap didn't change the outcome, due to the amount of time remaining and the five goal deficit, it certainly went a long way teammates.
Many smaller players make their money by going into the dirty areas and going through the trenches for their teammates, a la Gallagher, Konecny and Marchand.
