A special jersey goes for a record price from The Great One.
When it comes to an NHL jersey, one must ask themselves how much they are willing to pay to purchase one. Most fans of their respective teams always have at least one or maybe two jerseys in their closet to show their support when they either attend a game in person or at a bar or even at someone's house party when the playoffs and regular season are underway.
A jersey is something to be proud of as it represents the history And stature of teams over the decades or even recently.
One jersey sold for a record price that would boggle the mind of anyone however, the jersey is coming from the greatest player of all time Wayne Gretzky.
The jersey in question was Gretzky's New York Rangers jersey which he wore during his final season in 1999. The winning bid was $715,120. It appears that the jersey was signed by Wayne himself. That price tag is certainly out of my price range nor would I would be willing to pay for it as I just don't have the money.
However, someone now owns this jersey and will put it on display as a keepsake and showpiece.
