The scenario has been "the toughest i've been throughout myNHL career," according to Ovechkin.
In addition, Ovechkin disclosed that his mother and brother will be visiting the US from Russia to cheer him on nextmonth in March. Ovechkin elaborated on the recent saddenednews and made the following comments:
''A tearful Alex Ovechkin on his father's impact'':
"He gave me everything. All his health, all his time. He traveled with me all over the world and been at every practice when he had a chance. People who know him they're going to miss his smile, they're going to miss his energy.
It was a cool moment, the best moment of my life with him other than kids and family-wise. But I think the job what he did, and the time and health, it kind of was his Cup as well.»
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Alexander, his mother Tatyana and other friends/family affected.
