With the dog days of summer in full swing and NHL fans preparing themselves for another season on the horizon in September, NHL teams are wrapping up their summer projects, focusing on trades and possible signings as they prepare for training camp.

As I was browsing the web, I came across an article suggesting a mock trade between the Edmonton Oilers and the Montreal Canadiens. The players involved in this proposed trade are Jesse Ylonen and Rafael Lavoie.

It's worth noting that the Canadiens have recently signed Ylonen to a one-year deal worth $775,000. The reasoning behind this suggested trade is that both players require a change of scenery as they continue to find their way in the NHL, and perhaps a new team would be a better fit for their development.

Lavoie is currently facing an issue with a lack of roster spots, which hinders his playing time and growth as a player in the NHL. However, with the Montreal Canadiens in the process of rebuilding their franchise, they have numerous roster spots available, making this trade seem plausible.

Only time will tell if this suggestion will turn into a potential trade rumour, but I'd like to ask you the question: Would you make this trade, exchanging Ylonen for Lavoie?
