Are you watching the Edmonton Oilers first 8 Games? The Pre-season schedule has been released.
The NHL initiates each season with pre-season games to help the rookies adjust to the ice and the competition.
Veterans usually do not participate, but the Oilers hope that some AHL players will take the leap into the big show.
The team has released the pre-season schedule for this season, consisting of 8 games featuring all Pacific Division teams except the Winnipeg Jets.
The first two contests will be back-to-back on September 24th and 25th.
On Wednesday, September 27th, the Oilers will be facing the Vancouver Canucks, followed by a pre-season Battle of Alberta on Friday, September 29th. However, it may not be considered an official Battle.
Finally, the team will confront the Canucks once more on September 30th and the Seattle Kraken on October 2nd. The schedule includes some exciting games, especially considering the competitive performance of Seattle's AHL team this year.
