Saturday night was a very emotional night for former Vancouver Canucks Head Coach Bruce Boudreau. After the rumors started swirling that he was being replaced, those rumors sadly became true Sunday morning when the Canucks Jim Rutherford announced the firing of Boudreau and hiring of Rick Tocchet as the new Head Coach.

Boudreau loved Coaching in Vancouver and the Canucks fanbase loved him back.

Boudreau was commended by numerous Hockey Insiders including Sportnet's 32 Thoughts podcast hosts Jeff Marek and Elliotte Friedman who believed Boudreau wouldn't be unemployed too long.

Well they appear to be right, according to Michael Russo of The Athletic the NHL Network has reached out to Boudreau offering him a position as an in-studio Hockey Analyst/Host and it's happening!

Boudreau will return to TV in the meantime. Per
@RussoHockey
he's talked to NHL Network about a return as a studio analyst, and been offered an interview on HNIC next week and a spot on TSN's TradeCentre panel on March 3 (deadline day)

It might not be the job Boudreau was hoping for, but it will keep him busy until a job behind the bench becomes available. The two camps are reportedly discussing negotiations.
