The Ottawa Senators have announced a coaching change for their AHL club, the Belleville Senators. The Ottawa Senators' pending franchise sale has been in the news for some months. Troy Mann was relieved of his head coaching duties by Trent Mann, the team's deputy general manager, who is Troy's brother.

But there was a catch: why would the club management remove Troy Mann, his own brother, from his position as head coach? Well, it appears to be far worse than we all anticipated.

Troy Mann was reportedly fired for stepping over a fine line and providing Ottawa Senators propertyscouting materialsto another NHL team.

Sources saying there were trust issues emerging between the #Sens and Belleville HC Troy Mann. I'm told the straw that broke the camels back was when Mann gave some of the Ottawa Senators pre-scouting material to another NHL team.

NHL teams are highly tight about this type of information, therefore it goes without saying that if you work for one team and are generating scouting reports, you shouldn't discuss such insights with an opponent. He was alleged to have lost contact with his own brother when he was exposed for sharing this info.
