We got breaking news out of Anaheim, as the Minnesota Wild have acquired 30 year-old defenceman John Klingberg from the Anaheim Ducks.
Klingberg signed a one-year contract this past summer with the Ducks during free agency, he declined a big money deal by his former club the Dallas Stars which was an odd decision.
The Wild feel they have a Stanley Cup contending team, but needed to improve their defence ahead of the playoffs. Klingberg had 8 goals, and 16 assists in 50 games this season.
