Tyson Barrie Sends A Special Final Message To Oilers Fans
The NHL Trade deadline day is officially over!
Fans and the Media were all over the case of Oilers General Manager Ken Holland to make a move especially when it came to the defence core.
Many believed the Holland was going to try to acquire Erik Karlsson or Jakob Chychrun, but Holland would make a surprise move acquiring defenceman Mattias Ekholm from the Nashville Predators in a package trade that included a fan favorite Tyson Barrie heading to Nashville in return.
Barrie would stop by on Sportsnet's Hockey central to discuss the trade and would take a moment to send a special message to Oilers fans saying:
Tyson thanks so much and good luck the rest of the way said Sportsnet's David Amber
Barrie would reply: "Yeah yeah thanks guys. I don't know if there's a lot of Edmonton Oilers fans watching or whatever, but I just wanted to say thanks I feel very lucky there's a lot of messages coming my way so I won't respond to them all, but thanks for the time there and I appreciate everybody so thank you guys.
