Depending on your time zone, the NHL trade deadline is scheduled to be finalized on March 3 at 2:00 PM Eastern, which is just two days away.

Teams are getting things going VERY early this year, with some blockbuster trades already made and more to follow. As a result, the trade deadline may not see any trades for the first time in history.

Bo Horvat to the New York Islanders, Timo Meier to the Devils, Ryan O'Reilly to the Maple Leafs, among other players, Patrick Kane and Vladimir Tarasenko to the Rangers, Ryan O'Reilly to the Maple Leafs, among others... and now the Los Angeles Kings have traded their franchise's heart and soul, who only has over 20 games left on his contract, to the Columbus Blue Jackets?

The Los Angeles Kings are throwing disrespect towards their franchise goaltender...

To say Jonathan Quick is unhappy with the trade, I'm told, is "an understatement."
The entire #LAKings team was a bit down after the game, a win, and you could understandably see it in Anze Kopitar's face after a 4-goal night.

Tough deal, Kings trading a franchise legend.

Tough deal, Kings trading a franchise legend.

Trade call with the NHL between LA/CBJ was completed about 10mins ago. Gavrikov & Korpisalo to the Kings in a trade that sends Quick to CBJ as part of a package.

Gavrikov is reportedly not carrying an extension with him when he joins the LA Kings, which allows him to leave in the off-season and sign with anybody else he chooses. Fans of the Los Angeles Kings are NOT pleased with this result, and we do not blame them.
