As the 2023-24 NHL season approaches, veteran goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has hinted that it may be his last.

During a recent interview with RDS at a charity golf event in Quebec, Fleury expressed his affinity for the Minnesota Wild and acknowledged that this could be his final year in the league.

«I really like Minnesota. It's a good group of guys and every night we have the chance to win games, which is important. It could also be my last year. I will try to take advantage of it as much as possible, »revealed the Quebecer during the Beauchemin-Fleury-Beauvillier-Aubé-Kubel Golf Classic which was presented at the Les Dunes club in Sorel-Tracy on Friday.

With an impressive career spanning multiple teams, Fleury's legacy is undeniable. He currently ranks third in all-time wins, trailing Patrick Roy by a mere seven victories, and holds 12th place on the shutout list.

Alongside his numerous accolades, including three Stanley Cups, a Vezina Trophy, and multiple All-Star Game selections, Fleury is undoubtedly bound for the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Should he retire after the upcoming season, he would be eligible for induction in 2027 and is highly likely to receive a first-ballot nod.
