The most valuable asset, or should we say asset(s), is now in the hands of the Chicago Blackhawks. Both Chicago Blackhawks forwards Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane are in the last year of their contracts. Patrick Kane has certainly made things apparent, and it appears as though he'll be traded in the coming days. Jonathan Toews hasn't stated much on the trade discussions.

It will be strange for Chicago Blackhawks fans to see Patrick Kane wear a different jersey for the first time in sixteen years, but what new jersey will he be proudly wearing?Since the New York Rangers acquired Vladimir Tarasenko, we can cross them off the list. The Rangers were supposedly Kane's top choice, and in his interview, Kane expressed his disappointment by saying the following:

"It's not like the happiest I've been to hear about a trade. ... If things are going to happen, that was a team I was definitely looking at. It seems like they kind of filled their void and went ahead and made a deal."

Clearly upset that his top choice, the New York Rangers, are no longer available, TSN co-host and former NHL player Carlo Colaicacovo has dropped a bomb, exposing two teams that Patrick Kane reportedly would accept a trade to.

Based on people I've talked to, if Patrick Kane were to accept a trade somewhere, the two teams on his list are the Rangers and the Leafs...

Being able to see Patrick Kane and Auston Matthews on the same team would be quite crazy, but if Kane wants playoff success from his new team... did he forget about the first round exits?
