After the 2018-19 NHL season, Dustin Byfuglien, often known as "Big Buff," a fan favourite around the league, opted to take a leave of absence, leaving about $14,000,000 on his contract behind to be with his wife and kids.

It was said that Byfuglien was no longer happy with hockey as a result of all the injuries he was dealing with. Byfuglien made the decision to live off the grid with his wife Emily and their three children, and they appear to be leading an exciting life as a result.

Byfuglien and the Winnipeg Jets chose to work together and reach a contract termination agreement on April 17, 2022. He genuinely preferred happiness over money and fans respected it.

Unexpectedly, Big Buff and a handful of his old Chicago Blackhawks teammates seem to have laced up their skates once more.

And you thought the only ice you'd see Dustin Byfuglien on would be if he's ice fishing but somehow former Jets captain Andrew Ladd got the big guy back out on the ice.

Maybe there's still time left in the season to sign him.

It appears Kris Versteeg, Andrew Ladd and Dustin Byfuglien are attending a charity event, which is where Big Buff was spotted.
