BREAKING - NHL's Future Jersey Manufacture Makes a Huge Change and Fans Are Happy
Adidas was the manufacturer of the NHL on-ice and retail authentic jerseys from the 2017-2018 season and will be phased out after 2023-2024.
One of the main complaints of fans and collectors everywhere, was the limited availability of the on-ice jerseys, as it is a higher priced market than the Fanatics breakaways, which of course were lower quality.
But there's some promising news, about Fanatics taking over in 2024.
Fanatics makes all kinds of great products in all parts of the world, which will now include more manufacturing in Canada. In addition, they are bringing on board an incredible roster of product people who have decades of experience making NHL jerseys all the way to the CCM days.
What does this mean?
SP Uniforms, who makes the current Adidas on-ice jerseys will make Fanatics retail authentic, which will also be Made-In-Canada, which typically is reserved for the higher-end Adidas jerseys.
Not since Reebok took over the manufacturing of NHL jerseys with the Indo-Edge product line, have the on-ice authentics or likeness of have been available for fans.
Of course, no price points have been established yet, but if you haven't checked Meigray.com and your team's auctions aren't generally wallet-friendly.
This is promising news for all fans and sounds like a commitment to providing us with a better-quality retail product than what Adidas does now.
