Breaking: Surprise Update on Connor McDavid's injury status
A quick return from Connor McDavid would be greatly appreciated by the Edmonton Oilers. His presence on ice has been missed, as he has been the driving force behind the Oilers' recent successes.
There was an update regarding Connor McDavid released by the Edmonton Oilers today.
McDavid is skating. If he plays Sunday, is it because he is truly ready to go, or because they need him to make an appearance in the Classic ? Either way, it would be great to see him back so quickly, as long as he is healthy. #LetsGoOilers #Oilers #McDavid #2023HeritageClassic
McDavid has resumed skating, which is good news, but he won't be playing against the New York Rangers on Thursday.
It's not clear how healthy he is right now, but the fact he is skating is definitely positive.
It sounds like Oilers captain Connor McDavid skated on his own this morning. No update from Jay Woodcroft about his status for Sunday's Heritage Classic. The coach said he'd have an update after tonight's game.
After tonight's game, head coach Jay Woodcroft will update the status of McDavid regarding the Heritage Classic.
So, there is hope that McDavid will be healthy enough to return soon.
