Brent Burns and Matthew Tkachuk Continue to Antagonize Each Other
The Florida Panthers and Carolina Hurricanes playoff game 4 got intense last night. The Panthers scored quickly and often, agitating the Hurricanes personnel with ease.
Brent Burns seemed irritated as he had previously received matching roughing penalties in earlier games, where both players jawed at each other hilariously.
Brent Burns gave Matthew Tkachuk a cup check in the scrum at the end of the first period «My f***in' ballsack.» -Matthew Tkachuk in slo-mo
This same play happened last season with Flyers Tony DeAngelo, which resulted in a two game suspension. Burns may face the same, leaving him suspended for the first two games next year.
During the game, Burns continued to push Tkachuk and the Panthers' buttons and ended up spearing Matt Tkachuk in the nuts. This may be Burns' last shot at a cup, and his frustration was evident.
Tkachuk is known as a rat on ice, but the incident occurred at the end of the 1st period.
It was disappointing to see Burns' behavior, and we hope for a more respectful and professional game.
See matching roughing penalties below, Burns has a cross to bear apparently.
