To say it's been a disappointing season for the Vancouver Canucks would be an understatement. The Canucks felt they had the right core of players to compete for a playoff spot this season, but unless they go on a absolute tear there won't be playoffs yet again in Vancouver.
Unfortunately when a team isn't doing well regardless if it's his fault or not the Head Coach is is the first to be replaced. That's especially the case for Bruce Boudreau who has been with the Canucks for less then 14 months, replacing Travis Greene, Boudreau has been a fan favorite in Vancouver so they have undoubtedly upset how Boudreau has been treated by management.
After The Canucks Management just said they didn't want to replace Boudreau, that appears to of been a fib with Rick Tocchet expected to be named the new Head Coach Monday.
Boudreau would share how Hart warming it's been having all the support with fans. Boudreau said:
"He'll savor these next 2 games in Vancouver."
Boudreau doesn't want to leave and the fans appear to be 100% behind him but unfortunately that doesn't seem to be enough.
