One of the biggest criticisms the Montreal Canadiens had was they were too small. A team of speed and skill but didn't have the toughness or grit to compete with the bigger teams.
Well I think Montreal Canadiens General Manager Kent Hughes has solved that. As the Canadiens have quite possibly the toughest player in the NHL in 21 year-old Arber Xhekaj.
Xhekaj has became a fan favourite in Montreal amongst his fans and teammates. Xhekaj has been a big help clearing the front of the net for his goaltenders, and if you dare mess with anyone on the Canadiens roster you got a big angry 6'4 240 pound monster to deal with.
Florida Panthers Givani Smith learned that the hard was making a very bad decision to challenge Xhekaj to a fight during tonight's game in Montreal, Smith would instantly realize that was the wrong choice to make as Xhekaj pummeled him.
Unfortunately the Panthers would pick up the win on the score board, the Canadiens know they have a solid defenceman to help rebuild the Canadiens to compete for the Stanley Cup again soon.
