The Edmonton Oilers have been treated to a lot of top draft picks due to their past struggles and disappointing seasons. With no disrespect to Taylor Hall, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and others who were selected first overall, none of them compare to Connor McDavid.
McDavid was destined for greatness even before he entered the Ontario Hockey League with the Erie Otters, So when the Oilers were lucky enough to draft him in the 2015 NHL draft, McDavid was worth the hype.
McDavid is off to the best start of his career with 38 goals, and 46 assists, in just 46 games this season. The people and city of Edmonton love McDavid so much they have decided to give him a very special gift. According to Sportsnet's Edmonton Oilers Insider Gene Principe, the city of Edmonton is naming a snow plow after McDavid called the "Connor McBlade-it."
