Calgary Flames GM Gets Emotional When Providing an Update on Chris Snow, The Teams Assistant GM
If you followed the Calgary Flames for the last few years, or for life, you know who Assistant General Manager Chris Snow is.
Tragedy stuck Assistant GM Chris Snow in 2019 was diagnosed with ALS and has battled the disease, for the last 4 years. What is uncanny about the fight is it usually takes the life of those fighting it, in a 2 to 5-year span.
You can tell during the post-trade deadline conference, Brad Treliving had an emotional response to a question about his fellow GM:
Treliving went on to state how much Snow had been battling through the disease and how Snow is the one having a hard day, keeping in touch with the team, all the while fighting every day in the emergency room.
Snow and the Calgary Flame have been open and transparent about Snow's current battle with Lou Gehrig's disease and were present to deliver the 2022 Norris Trophy at the NHL Hockey Awards last year.
Fans can continue to find updates about Snow's condition and heart-breaking struggles through his wife Kelsey. The strength to continue to document the fight is ongoing, but Kelsey continues to inform us all, as we wish Chris Snow and his family the best.
