There's an unwritten rule in hockey that a bottom 6 forward or enforcer will come to the rescue and make the other player pay for their dirty hit. Rarely, but sometimes an NHL star player will do the same.

This was the case when the Winnipeg Jets were playing against the Anaheim Ducks after Jets star Kyle Connor suffered a knee on knee collision with Ryan Strome. The collision took place in the opening minutes of the second period when NHL star Mark Scheifele took exception to this and decided to take on Strome in a heavyweight match.

Both men began throwing their jabs and some connected, but Scheifele couldn't connect enough until Strome gained the upper hand and launched a cinder block jab into Scheifele's face where he fell to the ice in a crumpled mess.

It's clear that Scheifele was out of his depth when it came to this fight, but you must give him kudos and being noble to help defend his friend and teammate.

It was mentioned that Connor was unable to return to the game after this collision and Ryan Strome was given a five minute major along with a game misconduct for this vicious kneeing
