Team Canada would defeat Team Czechia to win back to back World Junior Championships. It wasn't a easy win though, Canada would give up a 2-0 lead in the 3rd period forcing 3 on 3 overtime. Dylan Guenther would become the newest hero, scoring the "Golden Goal."

After the game Team Canada's star Connor Bedard was named the World Junior MVP. Bedard had 9 goals, and 14 assists, in just 7 games. This was the most dominant performance at the tournament since Peter Forsberg in 1993.

Bedard was held pointless for the very first time this tournament but still made a big impact because Czechia as they were double teaming him all night long. After the game one of the reporters wanted to get into the impact Bedard had in this tournament.

However, Bedard would shut it down, showing he's very humble and a team first guy saying:

I don't want to talk about myself right now. We're not talking about me. We just won the best tournament in the world and man I love this group I love this country and this city right here has been unbelievable. - Connor Bedard

This was a true statement showing the character of this hockey phenom. Canada is blessed to have a player like Connor Bedard who's going to likely have a glorious NHL career.
