Connor Bedard just showed up Connor McDavid
The talk about Connor Bedard and Connor McDavid in the NHL started before the season, and now, with a bit of the season played, it looks like Bedard is doing better.
The teams they play for are in different spots. The Oilers used to be seen as likely to win the Cup, but things have gone south. A big reason is that Connor McDavid, their star player, isn't doing as well this time.
Last year, McDavid did great, getting the Oilers to the second round of the playoffs with teammate Leon Draisaitl. But this season is not going as well, and Connor Bedard has now shown up McDavid in the stat rankings.
On the other side, the Blackhawks are building their team up again. After picking Bedard, the General Manager, Kyle Davidson, got some experienced players to help Bedard and Kevin Korchinski fit into the league.
It's not easy to compare the two players. They're different in size and where they are in their careers. But it's clear that both Bedard and McDavid are big deals in the NHL.
