Saying that Connor McDavid is having the best season of his career seems to be an understatement. The Oilers mega superstar has been taking his career to brand new heights.

The incredible numbers this player is putting together is going to be one for history. Currently playing 66 games, he has scored 54 goals and 70 assists for 124 points.

There has been one caveat to this season though, McDavid has not sustained a major injury that has kept him out of the lineup. Earlier on in his career, he had suffered a few setbacks with injuries but that has not slowed him down.

Tonight against the Boston Bruins, however, McDavid was skating through the neutral zone when he was clipped by his teammate centerman Derek Ryan.

McDavid was in a fair amount of pain after the collision and tried to skate off with some struggle. He did finish the game but it appeared after the whistle had gone McDavid could be seen limping quite favourably down the hallway.

This was a collision that was an accident, and no one wants to see the best player on the planet have his season derailed by a mistake.

We all hope for McDavid to have a speedy recovery and continue this magical season of his.
