Connor McDavid With Some Surprising Words About One Specific Buffalo Sabres Player
The Edmonton Oilers were in Buffalo last night to battle with the Sabres as the Oilers try to get back on track, looking to lock in their spot for the Stanley Cup playoffs.
The Sabres are slowly becoming a solid team in the Eastern Conference as their rebuild has come along nicely lead by rising star Tage Thompson.
The 25 year-old was a former 1st round pick of the St Louis Blues that was traded to the Sabres in the Ryan O'Reilly deal. Thompson is having a breakout year in Buffalo with 42 goals, and 40 assists in 61 games.
Oilers Captain Connor McDavid was asked about Thompson and McDavid would have high praise for him. Sabres Insider Mike Harrington would share:
We had a good chat just now w/Connor McDavid. Asked about Tage Thompson, he said, "He's a big man and he's playing really well. He shoots the puck. Really impressive. Skates well, he's got great hands, seems like the total package....we've got to be solid defensively."
