Connor McDavid and a former rival are training this off-season
Sean Durzi, a defenseman for the Arizona Coyotes, has been training with Edmonton Oilers' Connor McDavid in the offseason.
Durzi praised McDavid's impressive work ethic, pushing each other on the ice and in the gym.
«The work ethic stands out,» Durzi said. «To be able to go on the ice with him, with them, every day, and be in the gym pushing each other, it's second to none that I've seen.»
The training group also includes Leon Draisaitl, Zach Hyman, and Steven Stamkos, led by former Stanley Cup champion Gary Roberts. Although Durzi was previously a rival with the Los Angeles Kings, he was traded to the Coyotes this summer.
Meanwhile, McDavid and the Oilers are determined to make a deeper playoff run after falling to the Vegas Golden Knights last season.
