A source from The Athletic says there have been massive trade talks involving an Edmonton Oilers goalkeeper.

A upgrade in the goaltending department is what any Stanley Cup contending team needs, and one name on the Oilers wishlist is Winnipeg Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck.

It might take the team giving up Jack Campbell or Stuart Skinner in order to get the former Vezina Trophy winner.

It may be necessary to attach additional prospects, like Dylan Holloway or Raphael Lavoie, to acquire the star goalie.

In order for the Oilers to have the best chance of winning a Stanley Cup in 2023-2024, they may have to trade an important piece.
